The Teaching and Learning Celebration was Awesome

Monday, March 9th, 2009

We had a fantastic weekend at the Teaching and Learning Celebration this weekend. Expect pictures and video soon, but today we just want to go over some highlights.

(1) We got to catch up with a lot of TeqSmart friends from schools all over the area. The event was packed with people, and it was great to see a lot of the educators we work with.

(2) Thanks to everyone for coming to our presentations and helping us to create a space to share our collective experience and expertise. We packed the rooms for our demonstrations of SMART Boards, AirLiners, SMART Sync, Senteo, and other SMART products. On both days of the conference, we showed how to use these products with students of different ability levels in different subject areas, and we had an overwhelmingly positive response.

(3) The conference speakers and presenters were incredible. While, we did not get to see everyone because of our own responsibilities, we were blown away by a lot of what we saw, especially Temple Grandin and Sir Kenneth Robinson. If you ever get a chance to see these speakers in action, we highly recommend taking advantage of that opportunity.

(4) Again, the name lived up to the occasion. It was a celebration of teaching and learning, and it was wonderful to see educators meet and discuss tools and methods over a very productive couple of days.

Did you go to the Teaching and Learning Celebration? Did you miss it and you’d like to know more about what kind of information there was about SMART Boards and other SMART products? Let us know.

Westchester-Lower Hudson Council for the Social Studies Conference

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

Hello all! We had a great time at the Westchester-Lower Hudson Council for the Social Studies Conference on December 12, 2008—with several hundred attendees, the Crowne Plaza Hotel in White Plains, NY was busy with sessions and product showrooms. We were grateful for the opportunity to give a presentation to a standing-room-only crowd. The presentation allowed Social Studies teachers from the surrounding school districts appreciate the usefulness of using SMART Technologies in the Social Studies classroom.

The flood of those who came to Tequipment’s booth following the session was overwhelming. Many came to meet with Francesca to get more information about the great products and services we offer as New York States’ #1 SMART reseller and trainer of SMART products.

Our next Social Studies conference appearance will be at the GMNY Social Studies Conference on Saturday, February 7. To schedule a Social Studies-specific training for your school, email our training department. Remember, our 3 sessions of SMART Boards in Today’s Classroom are filling up!

Look for future updates as Tequipment makes it’s rounds around New York State. If you see our name at a conference or class in your region, sign-up and see what we can do for you!
