Edmodo: education-friendly microblogging for your classroom

There are so many cool new web apps out there, but few are built with educators in mind. Edmodo is different. It is a private communication platform built for teachers and students, and, best of all, it takes only minutes to set up your first group.

Edmodo logoEdmodo provides a way for teachers and students to share notes, links, and files. Teachers also have the ability to send alerts, events, and assignments to students. Edmodo provides teachers with control and flexibility by giving them the ability to choose which posts are made public which are kept private.

    i just rolled edmodo out to my classes this week. they have adopted it like nothing else that i have shown them! we are a technology class and have a system in place from the school board to facilitate online learning it was not very intuitive for the students… edmodo is a winner… really.
