It is easy to see that children love being read to. Reading is an important part of the early childhood curriculum and we are always encouraging our children to become readers and writers. Putting books on the SMART Board using the document camera allows  students to easily see the illustrations. If you don’t have a document camera, here are a few websites that have interactive online books you can show on your SMART Board.

• Sebastian Swan: Interactive non-fiction stories geared towards early readers. (www.sebastianswan.org.uk/)

• Wacky Web Tails: Created for 3rd grade and above. Students create their own stories by filling in the blanks like in mad-libs. (www.eduplace.com/tales/)
