Trivia Hero: A Notebook Review Game/A Big Box of Awesome

Rarely do we in TeqSmart struggle for words, but we recently found ourselves unable to communicate when we saw Trivia Hero, a review game for the SMART Notebook 10 (NBX) by Donald Heberer. Donald went through our complete training series at the end of the summer and produced Trivia Hero as his certification lesson.

We have a number of great lessons provided to us by teachers, but Trivia Hero stands out for a few reasons. (1) It’s structured and designed to work similar to the game Guitar Hero and we love Guitar Hero. (2) The graphic design and attention to detail makes possibly the most aesthetically pleasing NBX file we’ve seen. (3) It’s just awesome.

We strongly recommend downloading Trivia Hero and using it with your review questions. It’s available with hundreds of other lesson plans on our Educator Resource Center.

For more information or to download a Notebook 9.7 friendly version, check out Donald’s website.

Check it out and let us know what you think.

I saw this being created early on. I thought it was one of the best creations we’ve seen so far (yes, even better than many of ours), and I still feel that way now that it’s done.

That being said, if you’re using a Mac, you might want to remove some of the flash objects before using it. I’ve heard that the theoretical limit for a Mac file is 5 flash objects per file, and 1 per page. It might take a little bit of work to get this to work on your Mac, but it’ll definitely be worth the effort.

Definitely a sweet file. As said in the post, it uses something that the students are familiar with and most of us really love. Its a great file.
