Hey, Guess What! No, Guess Again! Okay, I’ll just tell you!
See, it’s January 2nd and already the year is off to a positive start. Now, the TeqSmart staff only needs to lose our holiday weight, catch up on our reading, and finally clean our apartments and we will have fulfilled our New Year’s resolutions.
Click here to download the latest update (select SMART Board software 9.7 with service pack 2).
If you have Leopard, post in the Comments section here and let us know how the new software is working for you.

I’m so glad to hear there is a new version of the SB for the Mac. Does this version of the Notebook help fix some of the transparency issues? I hate to ask but can you tell me if the Mac can convert what I write w/in the Smart Notebook to text? I’ve seen it done on the PC but have not been able to do it on my Mac.
Thank you in advance!

Hi James,
This new version of the MAC SMART Board software does fix most of the issues that have been encountered on the MAC. The MAC handwriting recognition was always part of the Notebook software. However, in order to do this you will need to make sure that the handwriting recognition for MAC is turned on. Follow these steps below to do this:
In your computer’s System Preferences, turn on the Handwriting Recognition setting and turn off the Write
Anywhere setting.
1. Select the Apple menu.
2. Select System Preferences.
3. Open Ink preferences.
4. Under Handwriting Recognition, click the On option.
5. If you are running Mac OS X version 10.3.9, clear the Allow me to write anywhere check box.
OR
If you are running version 10.4.0 or later, clear the Allow me to Ink in any application check box.
Let us know how you like the new updated version of the MAC software and if you experience any other issues.
